Denver Affordable Housing

Mountain View introduces a new housing model for Denver — one that redefines density while preserving the city’s character. The project responds to Denver’s urgent need for housing diversity and affordability by challenging the rigid urban grid and offering a denser, vertical neighborhood that protects what residents value most: mountain views and private gardens.

With most of Denver’s grid already developed, Mountain View proposes a scalable urban strategy. The system can be replicated across multiple plots to increase housing supply without disrupting neighborhood identity. The first implementation is located along East Colfax Avenue, one of Denver’s main urban corridors.

The project revitalizes the avenue with new housing, public green spaces, and direct light rail connection to Downtown Denver, where most workplaces are concentrated. The result is a walkable, connected city that prioritizes people over cars.
