Space cooling is the fastest-growing source of energy demand in buildings, and meeting it without further straining already-stressed grids requires removing heat from buildings more efficiently than today’s forced-air systems do. Hydronic radiant cooling is thermodynamically better suited to this task, but every established system conditions whole surfaces, requiring major renovation and high upfront cost that place it out of reach for most homes. Bringing a far more efficient heat-removal approach to more homes requires reframing how we think about cooling: from heat quantity—how much thermal energy has accumulated in a room and must be removed—to heat quality— intercepting it at the source.

Our goal is to create a new category of cooling technology that brings the efficiency of radiant cooling to an affordable, retrofit product that can be installed in any home.
